How to simulate Official Letter Paper with LaTeX
This page contains examples that show how to typeset official letters
with LaTeX. The supplied LaTeX classes use commands that simulate the
layouts of the official letter paper of the Department of Physics of
the University of Padova (Italy) and of the official letter paper of
the Padova branch of the Italian Agency for Research in Nuclear
Physics (I.N.F.N.). Both these LaTeX classes are
targeted for A4-sized paper sheets.
The files in this directory are:
-
Makefile: the dependencies and the commands needed to
build the PostScript (.ps) and Portable
Document Format (.pdf) output files; the
command make all builds all of them.
-
unipad.cls: the class file for the Department letter
paper. Requires the LaTeX style files graphicx
and geometry. All the class options (if any)
will be passed to the standard LaTeX class letter,
and to these packages.
-
infnpd.cls: the class file for the I.N.F.N. letter
paper. Requires the LaTeX style files graphicx
and geometry; if invoked with the class option
center, the letter header in the first
page will be centered (the default is to flush the header
to the left). All the other class options (if any) will
be passed to the standard LaTeX class letter,
and to these packages.
-
alice.tex: the example file used for a two-page document;
the file itself uses unipad.cls, and the Makefile creates
on-the-fly a second copy that uses infnpd.cls.
- bo.eps.gz and bo.eps.bb: compressed image
file and BoundingBox for the University of Padova official
seal.
- repit.eps.gz and repit.eps.bb: compressed
image file and BoundingBox for the Italian Republic official
seal.
-
PostScript output and
Portable Document Format output for the Department
letter class.
-
PostScript output and
Portable Document Format output for the I.N.F.N.
letter class (centered header).
-
PostScript output and
Portable Document Format output for the I.N.F.N.
letter class (left-flushed header).
